Once KinvoCare has screened and shortlisted profiles, the interview is still your decision. Prepare questions that reveal behaviour, not rehearsed answers about ‘loving children’.
Questions that reveal judgement
- What do you do if a baby cries for a long time and feeding, nappy, and sleep checks are already done?
- How do you handle a toddler who hits or refuses food?
- When would you call the parent immediately?
- How do you put a child to sleep without force or threats?
- What would you do if you felt unwell while on duty?
Watch how they describe pressure
Listen for calm, specific examples. Vague claims of ‘I manage everything’ are weaker than a nanny who can describe a difficult evening and what she did next. Harsh language, blame, or punishment as a method should end the interview.
After you choose someone
Onboarding should still include expectation alignment, agreement support, and a plan for the first weeks. With Subscription Care, monthly check-ins help you correct small issues before they grow.
A good interview does not replace verification. It completes it.
